About

"Our table is beautiful, Jim has a high attention to the art of his creation and detail"
WHY I LOVE MAKING LIVE EDGE FURNITURE

Slabs that come out of musty sheds are not very pretty. They're often caked in dirt, have hidden cracks and a few knotty surprises here and there. So you may think my goal would be to cover-up these "flaws" but you'd be dead wrong. It's precisely these things that make every inch unique and actually increases the perceived value.  My job is to stabilize, never to hide.

Seems we need more people in our lives who look at us that way too. Friends who celebrate the uniqueness of our "grain", not those who make us want to hide it.

A LITTLE ABOUT JIM

Jim lives about 25 miles southwest of Portland, OR outside the town Newberg, OR.  He has a few big passions in his life; woodworking and sailing for starters. He loves sharing his love for both with anyone who wants to find out a little more.

Jim also loves workshop time with his granddaughters Avery and Harper!  Many great memories have been built there.
